About Us

We are a sustainable slow fashion and lifestyle accessory brand. We stand for sustainability in crafts, materials, processes, and design. Indian artisans have held a very strong and significant place in the economic growth and stability of the Indian economy. However, recent factors such as commercialization, technological shifts, and lifestyle changes have impacted the demand for traditional crafts, leaving many artisans struggling for income.

This is where we step in. At Shoonya, we aspire to offer these artisans a stable source of income by utilizing their skills with a focus on practical design. We act as a bridge between indigenous talent and the global market, emphasizing the use of natural yarns and raw materials.

Our focus on women empowerment invites and supports women artisans. We understand their multiple roles and facilitate access to raw materials, design insights, and training. Through our efforts, we are reviving dying crafts such as Portuguese Knitting, Bobbin lace making, and Petit Point embroidery. We hope to inspire future generations to embrace these traditions.

Sustainability is not just about consuming less. It’s about embracing practices that are resilient and time-tested. Our goal is to “Sustain the roots” by ensuring that traditional crafts endure across generations.

Join us in this endeavor.
